In the third session of the Barcelona Rental Regulation Working Group, the Metropolitan Housing Observatory of Barcelona (O-HB) presented the biannual follow-up report on the Tense Residential Market Zone (ZMRT) for the fourth quarter of 2024.
The study, based on official data from the Housing Secretariat, confirms that the downward trend in monthly rental prices in Barcelona continues. The main indicators show an increase in the stability of households—with less turnover—and a increase in the stock of rental housing.
The report also highlights the increase in seasonal rental contracts and the recovery of the second-hand housing market under the purchase regime.
This set of data provides relevant tools to analyze and track the evolution of the residential market in Barcelona.
